Yo, Extended Family! E here to let you know that the newsletter will be taking a little holiday break starting next week. Apparently I need to be more active on the Extended Play TikTok. “[Shoegaze] has seen a 50% year-over-year increase in streams from November 2022 to 2023, with daily searches for ‘shoegaze’ increasing over 220% globally in that same period.”

Update: full live performance of Ed Sheeran performing with The Darkness is now up. Just a great fucking song. And Sheeran seems like an authentically cool guy.
We rarely talk about singles we like, but I’ve listened to Teenage Wrist’s “Still Love” (featuring Softcult) about 1,000 times this year.
